Tanker shipping company Frontline reported a record quarterly profit of $659 million, according to Norwegian business outlet E24. The figure covers the second quarter of 2026 and marks an eightfold increase compared with the same period a year earlier, E24 reported on Friday.
The result was published in Frontline’s latest earnings report, which E24 said was closely watched by investors. The company, one of the world’s largest owners of crude oil tankers, benefited from strong freight rates during the period, though the outlet did not provide a detailed breakdown of revenue or operating costs.
Finansavisen, another Norwegian financial newspaper, described the result as a “giga-profit” in its coverage. Dagens Næringsliv also reported the $660 million figure, a rounding of the same result, and likewise highlighted the eightfold jump from the prior year.
